From the mouth of babes

A quick troll quote:

As we're driving home from their first day of daycare the troll hears us mention grandma and grandpa and immediately asks where they are.

Troll: Where is grandma?
Dad: Grandma is working in Africa.
Troll: Grandma is in Africa working.
Troll: Where is grandpa?
Dad: Grandpa is in Norway, working.
Troll: Grandpa working no telebi miru in Norway. (trans. Grandpa is working at watching television in Norway)

From the mouth of babes.

As for our general state, we're all good and busy. We found a great daycare for the munchkin after much searching. Our troll is currently in the same place, but we're working on getting her somewhere else to be for the long haul as she needs to be around kids her own age, not just the little ones.

The troll misses you all, and often will ask about where you are, what you are doing, and if we're going to visit (usually when we're in the car, so I'm not quite sure she has the concept of distance quite down yet). We also miss you, but I have to admit it was good to get home again. Summer is the time to enjoy Hokkaido - fresh vegetables everywhere, beautiful weather and lovely scenery. And on a more personal note - it's way easier resisting temptations when bad foods aren't even in the house.

And that's all for now, I have to get back to entertaining the munchkin this morning.

Take care!
